Reserve Parachute Pack 377th PFABn Co
The reserve chute or chest pack where attached to the 2 d rings on the main T-5 harness.
The pack houses a white nylon parachute that spans 24 ft.
This particular chute is totally unused and the chute is still attached to the pack with its raisers being sewn in and folded with elastic bands round them.
This pack has also been stamped with a BW, which identifies it to the 377th PFABn Co of the 101st Airborne.
The BW actually stands for Lt Col Benjamin Weisberg who was in charge of the 377th on D-Day.
